Índice USD y el Informe de Confianza del Conference Board

On February 24, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Confidence Index from The Conference Board will be released. Consumer spending makes up about 70% of the U.S. economy, so it can move the U.S. Dollar Index.
Prices are still high and tariffs have pushed costs up. The last reading was weak (84.5), below expectations. At the same time, the job market is still fairly strong, which supports the dollar.
If the number is strong - above 88
- This suggests consumers feel better
- The dollar could rise
- EURUSD may fall
If the number is weak - below 80, especially the expectations part
- This may signal recession risk
- The dollar could fall
- Gold may rise as investors look for safety
If the data is mixed, dollar could move up and down quickly and short term trades may work better than long term positions. Pay attention to inflation expectations in the report. If people feel worse about the economy but expect higher prices, markets could become very unstable.
Mark your calendars: from February 23rd to 27th
